Funding Opportunities

SWCAA’s Grants Department identifies and supports programs that address the most pressing needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities in Southwestern Connecticut. Each February, SWCAA releases an annual Request for Proposals (RFP), inviting nonprofit organizations to apply for funding. Applications are evaluated based on their alignment with SWCAA’s Area Plan and their ability to strengthen the region’s aging and disability services network.

SWCAA distributes nearly $2 million annually to support community and home‑delivered meal programs for older adults, along with an additional $1 million dedicated to community‑based services. Through strategic grant‑making, the department helps ensure that critical, high‑quality programs remain accessible to those who need them most.
