Stopping Today’s Biggest Fraud Threats
April 23 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Fraud losses are at an all time high, driven by increasingly sophisticated AI powered imposter scams, cryptocurrency investment fraud, relationship scams, and online shopping scams. Join us for a compelling and informative free event featuring the personal story of a Connecticut resident whose relationship scam resulted in nearly $1 million in losses, the head of the national AARP Fraud Helpline, and an expert from the Securities and Exchange Commission. Together, they will shed light on the fraud and scam trends affecting consumers in Connecticut and across the country – and share what you can do to protect yourself and others. A boxed lunch will be served. Attendees will be granted access to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center following the event and thru closing.
