SilverSource

SilverSource (formerly Senior Services of Stamford) provides services such as: consultations and referrals, social work/case management, counseling, medical transportation, outreach programs, benefits eligibility and emergency financial assistance, as well as, serving as an aging information resource center at no charge to older adults. In FY 2014/15, SilverSource counseled over 2,500 families, provided emergency assistance to 400 older adults and prevented homelessness for 130 older people. For more than 100 years, SilverSource has been advocating for older adults. Sharing concerns with legislators, hosting educational community events, leading forums to build agency relationships among professionals is what we do to ensure that our government, the industry and families are making informed decisions that address the unique needs of older adults.
